What this is

A free reference built from public federal records. Using it means you accept the terms below, which are short.

Accuracy, and its limits

Every measurement here reproduces a federal record and is exactly as current as that record. Campgrounds change: agencies re-grade sites, revise limits and close roads, and seasons shift. Confirm anything that matters with the managing agency or on Recreation.gov before you travel. Every page links its source.

Where a measurement is missing this site says so. It estimates nothing. A site shown as “unknown” means unknown rather than probably fine, and treating it as probably fine is the mistake this whole site exists to stop you making.

The site is provided as is, without warranty. We are not liable for a trip that goes wrong because a campsite turned out to differ from its record. The agency's information is authoritative and ours is a convenience.

The data

The underlying records are United States federal works and sit in the public domain, so use them freely. The arrangement, wording and design of this site are ours; please do not republish them wholesale, and do link back if you find something worth citing.

Please do not scrape this site in bulk, for the simple reason that the source is open. Take it from RIDBdirectly, where it is faster and no middle layer can misread it.

Booking

You reserve on Recreation.gov, not here. This site holds no bookings, takes no payments and earns no commission on them. Nothing you do here reaches an agency.

Advertising

The site intends to carry advertising. Every ad carries a label, and none of them stands in for a recommendation or for part of the data. No advertiser influences which campgrounds appear or how they rank, because the measurements alone decide the order.

Changes

These terms may change, and the date below moves when they do. The laws of Croatia govern them, which is where the publisher has its seat.
